Shackles meets the rearend. Howd' you do it?

  1. ANY one got upclose pictures and a tech to mount the shackles to the rear end??

    I got a 40 rear spring that i want to mount about 4 inches under the the 12 bolt. Any one got a good safe way to do this...

  4. I cheated..........when assembling my last lakes modified, I used a model A spring and installed only the main leaf on the car, then installed the rest of the leaves with a long spring-center bolt and cut it to length after tightening the nut down........worked most excellent.

    does speedway sell weld on brackets? maybe you could make your own from pics of theres? -jeff
     
  7. For the fact that My spring must be lower than the housing ill have to fab up a Bracket myself..
    Still need some Good Shackels..
