i just bought a 54 235 from the swap meet and one of the push rods was bent a little and one was chipped i figured no big deal ill take them off my motor that in the car the ones in my car were about half inch longer than the motor that was bought at the swap meet was wondering if the solid lifters use shorter push rods or if i bought a bastered motor

Any major parts store should still be able to order you one. There were two different length pushrods for 235s, 10 5/8 and 11 1/4.

I'm sure you're also looking into WHY the pushrods were damaged. There is a reason. I hope it's no big deal and your project goes together well.

Thank for the info I think the push rods were broken from the guy using a engine hoist the valve cover was off the motor I started it and ran it on a stand before I put any more money into it
