I'm flying into LongBeach on Feb 20 and I wanted to know if there is anything I should go see. I've never been before and I'm looking forward to it! Lets here it please!
The Big Three Swap in S.D. is that weekend if I am not mistaken. Lots of goodies to be had at better than average prices.
If you want something to do with the family, Knotts is fun, & the prices are about 1/2 compared to Disneyland http://www.knotts.com/
On your last day, Saturday Morning 5:30am to 8:30am is the Donut Derelicts car show in Huntington Beach, CA. One of the best weekly free car shows in California. Hundreds of cars and trucks. No rules. Just show up and enjoy it. Address is the corner of Adams and Magnolia in Huntington Beach. This is about 20 miles South of the Long Beach Airport and can reached by driving South on the 405 freeeway. Tom
Yep, Big3 automotive swapmeet at Qualcomm Stadum in San Diego - huge. For other stuff Dave Lindsay's website: www.socalcarculture.com
That is correct. Donut Derelicts is every Saturday and is over by about 8:30-8:45am but it is worth your time to get up early and see it. The parking lot will fill up 100% with incredible vintage tin. Get there at 6:00am and watch the arrival, It's very cool. Tom
This is the kinda stuff I'm talking about! My wife will be on a Cruise on the other side of the country so car shows, swapmeets, junkyards, etc! haha I planned on Petersen Museum, the Donut Derelicts car show sounds great. I'm staying with my uncle who is a car guy and I am looking forward to the lack of parkas!
That is what I was thinking, beat me too it. Looking forward to it, got 4 or 5 cars crusing up from Bako.
If you were up for a drive, the Sacramento Autorama is the 19-21, it's about a 7 hour drive from LB and probably too hard for children.
There's going to be an exhibit of automotive artists at California Street Rods the evening of the 20th, call them for info .
