If you have been there several times, you know the guy better than I do. But, I did not get the impression that nothing was for sale. Sometimes it depends on what one is willing to pay for stuff. Just because the guy is old does not mean he is ignorant of the value. I plan to revisit him and make some offers on stuff. Then I will know for sure if things are for sale or not!

That ****erchurn story tore me up.
Treat the Gent with the respect I know you have for him and the reward will blow your mind. I had a neighbor in San Diego that had an old 49 Buick Super. When he went, his beemer drivin son came over and said I musta really pissed the old guy off cause he left me the car. That was in 93 and the car had 23k on the clock and had been outta SD county once. He also let me have everything in the garage if I cleaned it out. No buried 56 Indian or anything, But, I had a real good friend.

  7. There are a lot of pockets of old cars all over Indiana.......... have found a few myself.....this was a close as I got, as large dogs and farmers with guns were present....

I purchased some equipment just down the street from this place in November. When I drove past it my tongue hit the floor and I drooled all over the dash. What a nice stash of cars at this place. Still cleaning up the drool. Would love to take a tour if the guy would allow it.

I think he would allow it. He was very friendly to me and I just drove onto his property without knowing him ever before. I see you live in New Paris. Wow, I cannot imagine a hot rodder in New Paris. I used to go there to visit my aunt and uncle France when I was in high school (1960s). There used to be a Model A coupe that sat in the front yard of the house right across the street from them. Auntie said the lady told her it belonged to her husband who had died and she was keeping it for when he came back! Huh? I was born in Goshen and was the auto shop instructor there for over 20 years.
