Her's a picture of the valve cover I built around '86 or '87. The valve covers came in a parts car I bought, this is the good valve cover, the other had an oil filler hole hacked in with a sawzall or something. I still have the other cover in a car down in the woods. Now that I can mig aluminum, I need to get it out and fix it up. It's been so long since [IMG]I looked inside them, Cal Custom?[IMG]

  2. I'm not. But 62 wagon was, and I have an old one of his, early Hemi.

It's at my parents, I'll have to dig it up in it's baby blue on black glory. ;)

Another one here that's unfamiliar with the concept, but am intrigued. Can't help but think a slant six Mopar cover would look weird, but I'd try it anyway.

We are looking starting up a value cover race this summer. Does anyone have information or advice on track building or stories they would like to share.

  18. My kids are playing on our track as I type this! Its a plywood ramp. Set up for two lanes of racing. What our StickShifts Hot Rod Club did was we all built a couple of racers, brought them here to our Hot Rod Invasion event and we gave one to each kid that showed up. They all raced all weekend long and we gave every kid a prize and let them take the racers home. My wife has hers still that she won top eliminator at Puyallup 20 something years ago, its still fast too!
I can get some pics later. And measurements too.

There was a New England club that used to bring around a track. I still have the two i made for my sons. 1 bbc and 1sbc. Youngest one did pretty good, was funny seeing a little Peanut racing against old men. He had real good reaction time.

But if he would have made a new thread, someone would have bitched about how he didn't search and it's been posted a million times and would have linked this thread anyway.
