Hey Everyone. I have been searching for information on the Mercruiser 470 four cylinder engine and came up on this site. My dad is building a 4 cylinder motor for a customer that is putting it in a circle track car. I am looking for information about these engines so if anyone can help out please let me know.

On another note, my car is an 88 Mustang with an 815 inch Ford Hemi. I run a class called True Street. My car has a stock suspension, 10" tires, mufflers, etc. Here are a couple of pictures of my car.

I am from Campton. It is 65 miles southeast of Lexington up the Mountain Parkway.

I totally understand about my car being too new but I thought it would be ok in my introduction page.

I have found a lot of information out about the Mercruiser 470 on this site so far. Hopefully I will get some phone numbers and give some people a call. I have already talked with Randy Dupree and he has helped out a bunch. Anyway, don't be too hard on me guys. It took a lot of cutting to get that big motor to fit in that car so I kind of fit in here don't I? This is all about unusual builds isn't it. :)

I think Dan runs in a class above me but I have never ran at Milan so I don't really know. It makes around 1650-1700. The major chore is getting it to the ground. It likes to drag the bumper or blow the tires off. We have been working on the tuneup all year and still haven't gotten it figured out yet. Hopefully next year will be a different story.
