Just got back from the show. It ruled. I was talking with Barris who just got there and earlier with Winfield who also had a booth there too. He was very kool. Hell. They were all kool there. The best show that I have been to yet!!!!! The surprise one that I had no idea that I would be bumpin into and talkin to was James Hetfield from Metallica. Way kool guy! The kool thing is that my friend that was with me was in their video a couple of years ago, The Un-forgivin part II. He remembered him from the video ,cause he was in the whole thing and that was a plus for them to talk about the 'ol days!. I had a great time there. One more thing. The chicks were good but they all had hubbies of bf. Can't have it all I guess. That is all for now. I will try and posts pics later. KNUX
Yep, It was fun Fun FUN till her daddy took the Tbird away. Did ya catch when the guy on the Blvd in the '52 Chebby Delivery with the stuck WFO throttle used a parked PT Cruiser to stop it? I was standing right there talking to ChiliPhil when it happened. Almost as entertaining as if it was a good fight or a stripper! I can't get over the irony of all those illegal outlaw cars and people lining up Miller empties on the parking lot wall of the LA Co. Sheriff's Academy! There were Sheriff Deputies all over too! They were cool... (probably really needed the gate money, considering how broke the County always pretends to be.)
it was a cool show. a lot of great cars and trucks and makes me wish i was able to take my car. Hot Rod Trio was good, first time i've heard them. Hetfield was there? that's cool.
Hetfield is in the Beatniks koolsville club. He was there with Jack Rudy and all the others that are here locally. They are an exclusive club that has members that are all over the USA. Just a heads up on why he was there. Enjoys the **** that we were all there for! KNUX
it was good, but man they are going to have to find a place with a bigger parking lot... there were more good cars parked on the street than in the lot.
Always wondered if James was into cars. At a Metallica concert on the big screen they showed the album cover off of "Give Me Fuel, Give Me Fire" with the Roth '55 Chevy g***er drawing.
I must say something about Mr. Hetfield... My daughter and I were all over that show talking to people and otherwise just in our own little world, but for most of the show James Hetfield was around us in some way. I don't generally pay too much attention to celebrities, mostly cause I never recognize them in person, and if it wasn't for people constantly saying "hey that James Hetfield" I would have never even looked twice at him. I even thought about saying hi because he was always right there but then I figured what the hell for? I never really liked Metallica and I don't have any idea what I would talk to him about. But here's the point... He has got to be one of the most patient, gracious 'celebrities' I hve ever been around. Believe me, I heard some of the **** people came up to him with and though I'm sure they all meant well, IF YOU HAVE NOTHING TO ****ING SAY, SHUT THE **** UP!!!! ******* people, you weren't even talking to me and I wanted to slap you. But the man hisself never even batted an eye. I honestly don't know how he got to enjoy the show. All in all, my daughter and I had a blast. You can only take so much 'culture' but we didn't stay to long. Saw some friends I haven't seen in a while. Gotta give props to the police too. I think it's really cool of them to host this kind of show. Good job.
was a *****en time...i got there at 9 and there werent any spaces left...did anyone catch the two guys fighting over the cell phone??
IT WAS A BADD *** SHOW... I GOT THERE AT 8 AND THE LOT WAS ALMOST FULL. GOOD TIME DRINKING IN THE COPS FRONT YARD. TOO BAD I HAD TO LEAVE EARLY THOUGH. IT WAS SOOOO HOT. AND HAD TO WORK. TRYED TO SELL THE 54 BUT NO LUCK.
i didnt see james hetfield their but who saw STEVE CABALLERO!!!! he was walking around i even got to take a picture with him infront of the old Skate City Villa sign!!!!!!!!
I asked if he drove down from San Leandro but said that he flew 'cause his car had ****** probs!. He has a nice bike built by Jesse,WCC, LBC! Ya, I guess he could drive what he wants to drive. He was walking around with 35mm camera around his neck and wearing a Beatniks purple club shirt. Had some shads to hide himself but not from little 'ol me!He was a real kool dude!
[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] So what does James drive? [/ QUOTE ] Anything he ****ing wants.... [/ QUOTE ] Theres always a dumb***, I mean smart*** somewhere. Simple question, nothing more.....
[ QUOTE ] but who saw STEVE CABALLERO!!!! [/ QUOTE ] I saw Beatniks James, He seemed cool and down to earth. But **** I didn 't see CAB. God Damn!!!
i met and talked to cab....all i can say is ..he is one of the most down to earth guys i have ever met ....and he is loving his new love '' hotrodding ''...i had also heard that hetfield was have an early 50s buick built ..but i do think he has a t as well .....i think in the metallica movie they show him driving it ....still haven't seen the flick yet though ..
yeah it happned right in front of where we parked our cars. It was actually more than that. The guy whos fun it was i guess him and 3 bros ****er punched him when him and the kat in the cowboy hat were arguing over a girl from the past. and boy ws she pissed. The 4 guys rolled up and were all "Yo whats up" both cowboy hat and him were all whats up with you this aint your deal. then the small guy pushed one of em and all hell broke loose. it was pretty stupid. The guy whoes fun it was rolled back up. He was standing there and the guy who got pummbled was all you one of the guys who ****er punched me. He was all yeah so ****in what. Then the small guy blasted him but no good enough. The funny part was the small guy shattered his phone lol. I was standing right there the whole time. I didnt jump in or any of my fellow brothers didnt either cause it wasnt our beef.. Okay enough typing.
