Build A gas tank

I am building A gas tank I'v read the adds for tanks in the mags and code is a supply tube from the top of the tank. who supplys a weld in bung with adjustable tube for supply? How far from the bottom of the tank is the tube? Thank you for any input

Don't know if it helps, but there is a "How to Build a Hot Rod" book by Parks that has a chapter on tank construction. I would suggest keeping the pickup ube at least 3/4 to 1" above the bottom.

 

I weld a 3/8 steel fuel line (Autozone) to an # 6 or 8 male AN weld fitting, drop it in the tank (1/4 to 1/2 off the bottom) then weld the fitting.
