I`ve been over the water to Ireland today on a huntin` trip with G***er.It`s been a long chase but I finally bagged me a `36 3 window. She aint no beauty queen, but a real survivor that needs some luvin` and tlc. There is a NOS front fender with the car and a load of other stuff as well.A phone call to EMS on monday is in order, I think ,to order up some lower patch panels. We took the fast ferry over to Ireland and it was flat calm, but I still managed to lose my breakfast [IMG]G***er is dropping it off here tomorrow then carrying on with the trailer to pick up his latest car...a stone stock original Deuce 3 window thats just come in from Europe....a good weekend or what??

    Thats a real nice find.
How did you get wind of a 36 in Ireland? All the Irish are buying up stuff over here because they haven't got any old tin!
Its nice to see that it isn't a he****! All the yank motors in Ireland got turned into he****'s for some reason.

I love them 36 3W coupes !! If it were mine, I'd love to do it in a Westergard, taildraggin' style, or even like Bob Pierson's 36 3W he used to tow his 34 3W race car with....cream with orange/red wheels and grille....

Oh well, I can but dream...

    TOP score....keep us posted !!

Mart,it`s an English ***embled(Dagenham)right hand drive model. It went over to Ireland in the 70`s.It`s got hydraulic brakes and a 21 stud flattie.I just got a `40 dash off ebay this week so it`s goin` l,h.drive.I`ve got an idea how I want it to look and this will include chopping the top and lowering the car about a foot but not thought out the final colour or anything yet.
    thanks everyone for the comments.

    Pack Rat here ya go....

What reefer never told you was that we had to go "undercover" to get the 36 as the guy was a restorer who didn't like "customised cars" [IMG]

  20. Much respect for you guys across the pond. It's tough enough to find good tin here and round up parts. To do it over there is one hell of an accomplishment.

    Great Finds guys!!
    Oh, and I might add-YOU ****!!
i found a '36 in Okalahoma years ago, behind a barn in Arnett Oklahoma, and could never get in touch with the owner. It was in similar hape to yours, was resting on it's roof, missing the running gear and grille. Doors were there, the decklid and hood. Not far from was a '38 humpback sedan and a T. I tried every year I went down there to contact the owner's with no luck [IMG]
I bet they are still there...

Hey Reefer, why don'tcha buy Pete Whitesides '36 an' save yourself alot of time/grief/fun? Has he sold it yet? Why is he sellin' it? Can't he handle a supa spammed moter, or what?
I know a bloke who has spares for Fords of the mid-'30's era. Lemme know whatcha might need. Small bits an' the like.
Hey you just know the good/right stuff is out there, it's just a case of havin' the green, yes? Some time/skill/taste also helps [IMG]

    Later, Koops.....

Koops, Pete`s has too many windas and it gives you a nose bleed it`s so high(Sorry Pete)and for what he`s asking for it you could of bought a house a couple of years ago.Besides, I`ve never and will never buy someone elses Hot Rod.
The spares are interesting I`ll be in touch.

    Later.
