Looking for car-related posters. My garage isn't even finished yet, but I'm still thinking about what might look good on the walls. I actually got 'inspired' a couple of days ago when I saw one of our HAMB brothers' avatar with about 5 guys under the hood of an old rod looking like they were discussing the solution to a problem. Anyway, our local Denny's has a poster of this same shot but the manager has no idea where it came from. It would be nice to get hold of this poster in particular, but I'm up for checking out any car/garage related poster stuff if anybody has an idea.

  2. Check out Cris Frogett web page at Atomic Rooster,I,ve got a few of his illustrations,

Just a word of advice. Don't worry about posters until you've actually moved all your car related stuff in. You'll quickly learn there isn't much room for posters. -stick

    ARCA39 - That's the one! Thanks. An 8 x 10 will do til I find a poster size.

Stick - I know what you're saying. Any display area will certainly be limited, but that poster is a must-have for me. It just says "my own little slice of Heaven" to me. :D

I've got a garage full of stuff,....posters, metal signs (new and old), metal toys, etc. My wife imposed a $10 garage wall art limit. Never can tell where you are going to find the next gem. Friends just stare and say that they never noticed this or that before. My walls are constantly changing, when you get something better, something not so cool comes down. Try to remember to throw the sparks in the other direction. Old car trophies are cool also. My buddies bring stuff over all the time because they know I'll appreciate it. Have fun. Yea Weezner, Jeff Norwell, etc., there are a ton of awesome artist's out there. Gary

  18. I wish I had a garage to hang my **** up in. License plates by the hundreds, street signs galour as well as various other metal signs. I finally put a full size Chrysler dealership sign up for auction cause I need the room.I envy you guys....

I will say to be mindful of putting a bunch of flamable stuff up on your walls where you'll be welding and grinding. I had a good look around my small garage one day and decided I needed to clean up shop before I burnt my damn house down, (attached garage.) Not to be a downer.
I do have a hot ***** on a metal Old English sign hanging in my garage. :) It has some kind of lowrider on it in the background. I pay it no mind.

I'm lucky enough to have the 'wall-estate' to put large ones up.
Working in a printshop can have it's advantages...

    damn, thats cool!!!!!

I think you should stumble around the cl***ifieds and HAMB-O-Dex and get stuff from HAMB artists.

Help out the HAMB brothers! Honestly at this point, any artist you want to put on your walls is probably a HAMBer anyways!

The poster of the guys under the hood of the Mercury is from the Time-Life archive. My poster has a quote about friendship from President Wilson underneath and came from Hobby Lobby about seven years ago.

Not that posters aren't exciting...............but MY words of advice, pick a finished wall, paint a big fat rectangle in chalkboard paint. Add a shelf at the bottom and keep track of your ongoing projects. Think CHECKLIST!

I'm going to paint out a wall in mine, because LORD do I forget what's doing on what Poncho.

  29. I have a huge 4ft x 8ft whiteboard on my wall just for things like that.
I forget things if I don't write them down.
