    Let the flaming begin !!!!

I currently have a cheap set of chrome wheel covers on the poncho while I'm saving up for new stuff, but I find the chrome too damn shiny. Was playing with photoshop and managed to tone them down to where I like it, but not sure how to go about doing it.

Does anyone know if you could use window tint on chrome. It works great on gl*** and last along time so I thought about trying it on my wheels. Even if I could get a season out of it, it would be woth my time to try.

    What do you think ????

being on the surface of that wheel even if it did work i would imaging that the tint would wrinkle all around the convex surface of the center cap on the wheel

  3. I dunno, man. If you want to darken them, I'd say that tinting some clear coat with a drop or two of black would be a much more viable method.

Might work but I doubt it. Especially if you actually plan on driving the car.

  5. I've got some translucent black kandy coat I could fog them with for you, but ONLY if they are personally delivered by your avatar girl.:D

VHT makes a product called Niteshades which is a spray on tint.

I don't know how well it will work on chrome though...

Glisten PC made by POR-15 comes in gloss or satin and is made to coat any polished surface. This is the stuff used on new polished aluminum wheels to keep them from oxidizing.
