Hey guys, my name's Hayden and I'm from the small town of Northcliffe in Western Australia. I own a 1957 Peugeot 403, here she is. I'm gona restore this one and then get another one and do it up rat(or maybe custom) style I know a French car is a bit out of place on a forum with mostly American cars but its good to have something different I guess, besides, I know I'l end up with something american one day, theres a few Customlines I've got my eye on . Another project I have is a sort of paddock basher, I'm collecting old bits of cars and trucks from my uncles farm and building one good one out of them, so far I've got a strait 6 flathead engine out of an old international truck, found a good ch***is and some truck wheels for the back. Basically all the parts will be more than 50 years old, this is going to be fun Hayden
G'Day Wazza from western Sydney suburbs. Something different is always good, don't be scared to think differently from the rest of the flock. I love your Peugeot, I can picture her with a new coat of paint, lowered an inch, maybe two, some small chrome hubcaps to cover the stud bolt erea of the rims. A 253 with a tricked up trimatic with a quiet exhaust, a quick sleeper. Cheers, Wazza.
Thanks for the welcome guys! Thanks, I've got a couple of different sets of hubcaps for her, I'l lower it if I can (its got a weird suspension set up on the front) it should be lower at the back but its got the axle out of a 404 so it sits higher, I was thinking a flathead ford for power coz there really isn't much space under the bonnet, the standard engine is a 1.5 litre hemi We'll see what happens, I've got to find an other 403 first. (I can't really rod this one as its got quite a history in various car clubs and mechanically its perfect, just needs some minor rust repairs) Thanks Hayden
