What year did they loose the center shakle cab mount? I'm doing a 48 and want to mount cab to frame rails in rear. Looks like 54 has reinforcements on floor that roll down vertical. Any for sale?

...47 & 48's used the center rear cab mount, in 49 they went to the shackle-style side mounts to the outer frame rails....

I'm sure you can use the shackle mounts on your cab; you mite have to make a floor re-enforcement mount for the upper part of the shackle to mount to. The shackles set aprox. at 45 degree angles when mounted.

Do you think I'd need the shackles at all. I boxed the frame and added cross members. I' m thinking of just using rubber mounts. I take it the shackles are for flex.
