Model A Coupe/Roadster Trunk Gas Tanks

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Bib Overalls, Feb 20, 2010.

  1. Would be really interested in seeing some pictures of gas tanks mounted in Model A coupe and roadster trunks ("boots" for you UK and Commonwealth blokes). I have a pretty good idea for mine. But the design is not final and the filler issue is still open. Appreciate anything you guys are willing to share.

This isn't the best shot of the tank but you get the idea. It sits down in the trunk behind the seat. I'll try and get better pics on here soon.

Too right, trunks are what us lads wear when we go to the Lido or swimming baths!:)

I used a Tanks universal tank in my roadster--used a race-type fill thru the body

Heres my installation, the fuel filler will be below the rear window.

Great idea using the caps, what gauge are you guys using for the tanks 18 or 20?
