I have been thinking about color for my sedan for some time now. I think I have settled in on medium bright blue. I remember a popular blue from the 60's but can't come up with a name. I really can't scope out the new car colors because they all have so much metalic. Anyone here in Hamb land remember the name or names of the nice blues from back in those days (the 60's). If I can come up with a name I can have the paint store mix some up to do a spray out. The blue deuce roadster used by the radir wheel guys is the color or very close I think. Thanks much for any help Steve

Thanks for the help so far. N***au blue was the corvette maybe? Grabber blue I remember and that color is not dark enough. I have been pondering this color and the name bahama blue keeps popping in my head. I am thinking I want a bright deep non metalic blue. The non metalics always shine and reflect a little better.

Maybe I will just need to go down and pick a color from the paint store book. Just thought it would be a little nicer to go with an old color, code and name. Steve

mecutem, Dodge pickups had a nice solid medium blue in or about the late sixties. My favorite med. blue is made by testors for models its "frenchblue". I think I have a Hot Rod from some time ago that had paint codes of solid red blue yellow. I will see if I can find it. will email you a copy give me a day or so to dig it out.

Somebody said that the blue color on my truck is a mid fifties Olds color. Maybe that would work?
