    Hi
I now have a b&m mega-shifter and am happy with how it works, but am thinking about changing it out because it takes quite a bit of floor room in a model t. --looking at lokar,b&m streetrod and gennie---any opinions? I know the lokar has a push ****on to shift and the b&m you push the whole stick down, but not sure hoe the gennie works??
    thanks

Can't go wrong with Lokar or Gennie. Tight fit, attractive, easy to install and use. I prefer Gennie..

  3. the Gennie works by pulling the level to the side and moving it though a gate..kinda like an automatic column shifter except on the floor. does that make sense?

i have one in my `28 tudor for 15 years and i'm pleased with it

  4. I digs the lokar but the knob choices are limited due to the shifter release mechanizm is a push ****on.
I got past that restriction by taking a knob and taper drilling it for the shaft diameter and then threaded it and I drilled a small hole in the top for the push cable to poke through, you can barely see it sticking up.

We have used Lokar in a number of customer's cars with great results. No complaints whatsoever.

I have a lokar 23" double bend shifter in my T. It's been a good shifter. I use the bends to get more leg room for the driver by having it "bend " to the p***enger side. And lokar and gennie sell adapters to mount any shift knob on top. Although a friend of mine has done that, he suggests not to use a very heavy shiftknob as it can make it shift if you hit a pothole, etc.

yeh,now I'm wondering if I should change---although the megashifter has that big box under it ,since it is cable operated I have it moved off center toward the p*** side, which gives me more foot room, but sorta squeezes the wife feet and it looks kinda muscle-carish
