Can someone do a tech on extending skirts???

I have a pretty good idea of what I think I need to do but I know a lot of you have already crossed this bridge.

I have to move the lip down lower on my 54 Bel Air and 54 Chieftain. It would just make the back of the car look so much nicer...AND LOWER.

Extending skirts? That's a new one, aren't they suppose to go up? And you all think people from Utah are weird! WTF

 

Horizontal cut above lower lip... fab patch panel...insert...tack, tack, tack...zippppp...talk to Tuck about the paint.

If the lower lip isn't as long as it needs to be in order to fill it's newer, lower position, you'll have to cut it vertically and add a section it as well. Like you would when you stretch a top when chopping it.
