    Hi Turbostude and family,
God bless you all and give you peace, in this time of mourning. Time will heal the great loss over time and you all will see Carla again, in a much better place.

Lost my Theresa to pancreatic cancer 5 years ago and I still miss her so much. Take care...duane

    Guys,
I can't express how wonderful it is to have your support, literally from all corners of the globe. She was so cool. I can't say that she understood why I liked to get greasy and bloody hammering, grinding and welding, but she knew that I needed to do it. She backed my Bonneville efforts. She rode with me on my Norton. She hosted my fall rides.
We did home hospice, which means that her last days were with me, the kids and the dog instead of in some featureless hospital room. We played her favorite albums the last afternoon. As the sun went down, Sticky Fingers came on. The tenth and last song was "Moonlight Mile". She died at the end of the song as I held her, stroking her hair.

She believed above all in two things....friendship and making the world a better place than when you found it. I've retired from medicine now and intend to volunteer mentoring kids about how to build stuff and use tools. I know she was excited that I do this.
