'stopped at an estate sale over the weekend spotted a Stromberg jet tool in a box of early Carter carburetor tools snagged the whole box, then proceded to gather a small pile of goodies, next thing ya know I had to go home and get the truck to haul it all home here's the carb stuff
I have the same Sun cabinet. It was under an engine ****yzer. I love the round plastic orange small parts organizer from the 60s. I think mine had cotter pins.
I have a similar cabinet that came out of a fomoco dealership that was in business for 60yrs.....very cooool
Kinda reminds me of my dads last flathead tool score, a p-51 ammo box (or so i'm told) filled with flathead tools
Great carb tool kit, both for the box and the tools in it! From all the pieces you got laid out there, it looks like you could either overhaul carbs or pick locks. Either way, it's a win-win situation!
Good finds! Love that Carter Carb box, only ever had the plastic kind from the late '70s myself. Gotta love those estate/garage/yard sale finds!
the box was very crusty, I didn't even see the label until I started cleaning it up yes sometimes those type sales have treasures
OLD TOOLS??? We use tools like this daily! Most of the carburetor companies produced specialized tools. We have tool sets from Carter, Detroit Lubricator, Holley, Marvel, Rochester, Stromberg, and Zenith; plus a few individual tools from some of the lesser known makes ie Rayfield, and Schebler. Snap-on produced a wonderful large tool set in a large metal box which does Carter, Holley, and Stromberg. Jon.
