Has anyone come up with a shop made stanchions, windshield posts, for the 1927 ford bucket? These I see on-line are very expensive. I hope some one has made them and can lead me to the link or show me pictures.

If I had some to copy I would be willing to make them to sell.

  3. Years ago there was a 26/27 roadster on here with old home built stantions, Basically just a piece of plate and an upright, they looked really good. I will try to find the thread.
There is an chrome T windshield hanging on the wall at a local plating shop along with a grill shell and headlights, I've known it was there for 6/7 years now and used to stop by once in a while and try to purchase it, they always declined reluctantly as they seem to think the guy will come back for it soon.

Chevy roadster WS posts around 1925-7 will work and can usually be found cheaper. I'm using them reversed for a little lay back look. The WS frame is narrower, it's a 2 piece upper and lower, so I'm making a one piece to fit by cutting a section to widen the lower frame for a nice laid back low windshield. I can use pieces from the top frame to make the lower wider or taller.

Oh Yeah I like that laid back look. I was thinking of leaning mine back 5-10 degrees, I like it.

im lookin for the same ! im willing to fork out 150 for the stancions from speedway but then the dang windsheild itself is what kills me. ive got a windsheild off somethin that im gonna have to make my own stancions. get some flat stock shape it to the cowl then get some round stock and roll it to macth the sides of gl*** frame is what i got drawn up. then if it looks like hell, throw it away and keep searchin on
