I really would like to see more pics of this wonderful hardtopped Shoebox Ford.I found many pics in the net but always showing the car like this.Does anybody have some shots from the rear, interior etc.The car belongs to a certain John R. I bet many of you So-Cal guys know this Ford as the car is a regular at most shows.Thank you !
Hey "chopt" ! Nice to meet you on the HAMB ! Your '50 is one of my favorites, told you many times.Saw the choptop pics of your Shoebox on here and finally was able to see the car directly from behind.Perfect !
If anybody else still should be interested in a rear shot of this killer Ford. Here it is : It was posted by Rikster,a true enthusiast from the Netherlands, into an other topic. Thanks again !
Isn't that the one that Scratch did the how to article on pinstriping in Rod & Custom a few years ago(it had a gold tooth)? It is one of the nicest shoeboxes ever done.
TheFrenZ, Steve B found some more photo's of it. The really early stage of it. But unfortunately no other info on it. <center> <image src=http://images7.fotki.com/v113/photos/2/223020/1465208/blk49f-vi.jpg> </center> <center> <image src=http://images7.fotki.com/v136/photos/2/223020/1465208/blk49r-vi.jpg> </center> Rikster http://public.fotki.com/Rikster
Hey 'lord ! I also have the issue of Rod & Custom you are talking about.I already sent Skratch a PM regarding the car and article but he did not answer yet. We'll see...
I meanwhile received an answer from Skratch and he told me it's not the same car. I already thought so.If you closely and compare the roof lines on both cars you will notice a difference. The search goes on...
TheFrenZ, I found another photo of it in that nice copper suede. Look at the fit of the hood... wonderful metal work. <left> <image src=http://images8.fotki.com/v148/photos/2/223020/1680589/post822160pr08-vi.jpg> </leftr>
Hamber Rikster sent me these pics and I'm so glad he did !Thanks again,Rik ! Just wanted to post them here for everybody who appreciates the beauty of a timeless and very well built Full Kustom Shoebox Ford...this sled looks so mighty good and I still search for more info/pics... I really dig the black & white pic.Gorgeous ! That Crestliner steering wheel looks sooo good !
The Litton Ford that Barris built was named the Panoramic Ford. I'd like to know what happened to that one. The Stude front fenders look right on.
I've seen that Ford at Paso several times. It is somewhat suggestive of the Buster Litton car, although it has its own style. Nice looking car, but I don't know the owner.
Just needed to update this old post of John Riccabona's Ford sliced by the DeRosa's...still love that car.
Ricabona is in Antioch Ca. Goes to many shows with his family in tow. He is one of the locals that as a kid, used to show up early mornings at the DeRosa's house to make that journey to set up day at the San Francisco Cow Palace with the Merc 4, Sharkmobile and Golden Pirhana. It was a big ordeal back then and all the boys loved to go and it was strictly "no girls allowed".
Very different look, in my opinion. The Buster Litton car was a coupe, the other car a sedan. Also, the frontend treatment is very different. The Studebaker fenders are striking, but the chevy grille treatment on the other car looks a lot more natural and timeless. Both are nice cars with classic lines.
