Jerry Weesner, former editor of Custom Rodder magazine and columnist for KKOA Trendsetter mag and CK Deluxe, is recovering at his new home in Sacramento from a stroke he suffered a while ago. His therapy is going well, he's able to get around fine and he's working with a speech therapist.

Jerry is probably one of the most knowledgeable men on the historical SoCal custom car scene and I wish him all the best.

    He's the BEST!
I always looked forward to seeing him at an event. Sent a card when it happened. I hope he is doing well and that we'll all see him around soon.

Yeah, Keith told me about his father's stroke a couple months ago and it relaly hit home since I lost my father to a stroke almost three years ago. I am really glad to hear that he's doing well that he's on the road to a nice recovery.

    Definitely in my prayers Jerry!

  21. Get well, Keep at that therapy Jerry.

Guys like you have forgotten more than many of us here will ever know.

  23. Along with our HAMB family, my Thoughts and Prayers are with you Jerry.

Therapy plays a HUGE part of your rebound. My dad suffered a stroke 3 years ago. After hitting hard with the therapist, pops was back to grinding away in the garage in no time.

Things are lookin up, it was a rough couple of months, on the good side, it's the most time I've spent with my folks since I was a kid! My sister and I moved them up to Sacramento a couple of weeks ago, (so she can help them out) and he's getting better every day. He had been my mom's caregiver since her stroke, so I was kinda the last man standing and jumped in to take care of them. Didn't realize how disconnected I had been to them till this happened. Gotta fix some stuff on his '59 Ranchero and get it up to him in Sacto soon...
