    How to bend dried bamboo
    want to do some interiour work with bamboo
    mostly the 1 inch and some 2 inch thick

    I've seen where they steam it and tie it into the form you want and dry it again.

    So just maybe stick it in the bathtub weigh it down
    and let it dry naturally when i get the shape ??

    You would be soaking for a month, steam is absorbed much quicker.

    If you had access to a kettle and could boil it? That works for the people around here who craft bent-wood rocking chairs,weave decorative wheat shafts and luthiers?
    The greener it is the easier it might bend?

    Bamboo needs to bent when green and held until it's dried out. If it's mature bamboo soaking it and bending it won't work very well. It tends to return to the original shape.
    There is an old oriental method to kill whilst mixing that end with torture, where bamboo slivers are heated up in hot water, got pliable and put in soup. After it is eaten, in the digestive tract it dries out and returns to original form. A very painful and certain death ensues.

    ouch no soup... lmao ok this answers my question cant rebend bamboo and get what i want
    hmmm they dont grow bamboo up here in canada so maybe ratten it is
    thanks only bamboo i seen up here is in the little gl*** **** at grociery store would cost a fortune to get as much as i need
