Milts is definitily a spot to hit up for food. I believe chuys fire up is friday night off Rose from the freeway. Saturday night after the cacklefest you can go down to the Doubletree Hotel off Rose for a parking lot cackle. The Doubletree has an open bar, restaurant and nightclub/bar.Hooters just got built so thats prob gonna be a party spot. Supposed to be one of the largest turnouts ever.

Hey Brian, I finally found the topic....Hopefully Racer X is picking me up here in SE Missouri, IF so, I'll have a bunch of old George Ray dragstrip t-shirts with me from the days to sell, along with some very unique memorabilia, if ya don't know who I am or who George Ray was, disregard this message. What places should we 'avoid' is also a good question..plan on taking the 31 blown Chrysler down the G****vine to LA for some cruising as well....if you want to see some old George Ray tapes, I showed em' at Larsons barn-gathering back in 2001, but have more current and older tapes and they will be with us for this event..look for the white and orange 31 Xrysler with the 8 one barrels on top of the big blower...entry number is 350...chucky, over and out...

The pre race party is Thursday at Chuys @5pm. Rosedale hi-way. No Tiki Warrior this year but I'll be doing the clutch on the Mr. Explosive FC.

The first time I went there I stayed at a Motel 6 right off the highway out to the strip. Man, what a fly trap. I think some of the characters staying there were using it as a crack house.

Milts is on Kundsen and Olive off the 99 South *coming into Bakersfield FROM the track*.
Thursday at Chuys on ROSEDALE Hwy/58 West is the pre-party. Hooters is also on the same road.

Zingos is almost right across from the Crystal Palace on Buck Owens Blvd.
Downtown is the Alley Cat, The Mint and Fishlips *others as well*.

Narducci's is having a party........... 621 East 21st. Tastiest damn food you'll ever put in your yap as well.

Knotty Pine has the most mouth watering breakfast and it's right around the corner from Milts. Makes my *** stretch just thinking of it.

What else? We have a bucket full of motels and hotels.......depending on what your poison is.:D

Heard the weather forecast is kinda iffy.

BTW ... MILT'S is the place for breakfast. Many racers eat there. AND BTW ... DO NOT order their special White Sauce/Gravy on anything unless you can't afford Dyna-Mat and need a little extra sound-deadening for what you drive. <grin>

Get on Rosedale Hwy and check out Pappy's or JM's
(If you are in town for food! )
Although they are packed on the weekends so that will slow ya down to get to Famoso!
