Thanks for the encouragement,I know springs close but I've got the same glass of ice cubes sitting on the porch since Dec.We'll be in Lincoln.Rob Lee has a Plymouth buisness coup he's planning on putting in the car corral.I don't know if I'll be selling but I'll be there. You cant miss me.
Great work as always. Can't wait to do some road trips with you and the other Turds this year (if spring ever comes) See you in Lincoln if not before. Gary
Gary, going to look at a pair of those "Shakeys" full moons this morning. They cost like $20.00 for the pair if they work.
I'd say driving the coupe to Minnesota in February puts you a shade further along then me.The Hoodlum will be up in time to have some fun this season.Catch you at the Swap in Lincoln tomorrow? Rob may have his Plymouth buisness coupe in the car corral. He needs to get rid of it so he can get back to being a Fford guy.
Wow, I'm just finding this thread now. The car looks excellent and I have to say, the front wheels are pretty awesome. Really nice job.
You better be careful with those "Shakeys"! The Turds may never get over the munchies with that car around.
Something must be up with that, every time I type Fford the screen shows an extra f.I'm thinking it should be fFORD though. Solo Larry wants the Plymouth.I'd like to see him get it.He has a sensual relationship with it. I finished the front shock mounts and started on the panhard bar.I'm making progress on the hoodlum.
Been working in the cockpit, pedals hung, master cylinders in place, clutch linkage about finished. e brake and lap belts. Got the throttle working.Dickster27 set up the BXOV Strombergs. And a side view of what's been happening
Hung some exhaust too. Have to get a couple hangers and finish the exhaust tomorrow.Mellowtones,nice.
Geez man....where's the air conditioner and stereo system? You're the man my friend. I think we'll all be looking forward to see this one on the road. Be sure you set up the video...them let 'em roll. Oh, I love that valve cover man, where did you find that? Good luck with it...it's going to take some cajones to drive that baby but if you can build that you can handle it. Stay tuned folks!!!
The cover is an Offenhauser that I couldn't leave alone.I ground the Offy name off and smoothed the surface out.I had the Chevrolet script off the car I cut up for the sheetmetal.A little metal adhesive and custom Chevy valve cover.
Have the guages in the dash. there is a key in the ignition switch. The tack is taped on for the moment.I like the overspeed ! There is just one piece missing.I'm waiting patiently.
