For 51? Your Plymouth options are Cranbrook, Cambridge or Concord...........no Belvedere.

The Belvedere was part of the cranbrook line.

Do you reckon that car is CLUB COUPE or CONVERTIBLE CLUB COUPE? Not to be confused with CONVERTIBLE.:D

  16. Between 1951-1952 51,266 Belvederes were made. This was the same time of the Koren War so paper work on production figures were messed up. In 1953 Plymouth made 35,185 Belvederes.

The 1951 Belvedere was low production. Figure a little over a 1/3 of the Belvederes made in 1951-1952 were made for the 1951 year.

yes will most likely paint the dash and the rest of the interior molding its all "wood finish" dont worry its not original it was obvisley redone at some point and besides i thought i read somewhere they stopped doing the wood finish after 50 and 51's were supposed to be painted a solid color, im just not really a fan of the "wood finish":D

My first car was a 67 Mustang.:D It breaks it down between the number series..........I'll post the linky and you can wonder/wander thru it. It gives the specs on EVERYTHING. I like playing with it.

not sure if 51' had the "duel" wheel cylinders but if so you might be able to adjust the brakes with the "cams" as that was a common problem making people believe they needed new brakes when they needed simple adjustment. nice ride!

thanks for the tip ill check that out, i might go through everything anyways just for peace of mind. the idea of a 50 year old single chamber m/c that who knows if its ever been rebuilt or changed scares the **** out of me. i really dont ever want to have that OH **** day drivin down the street

  28. Nice score neighbor, I'm kinda partial to the older Plymouth's. Personally, I'd loose the wood grain dash also-they belong in a new Jag. Good luck with it.

great find, I would cruise the tires off that thing. I love early plymouths and dodges'. There's a dodge on here cheap I wish I could get my hands on...unfortunately, the timing just ****s.
