Had an ugly hole in the middle of the dashboard, don't know what is supposed to be there, but i guess some panel to regulate heat and vent?? Anyway.... don't have that panel, but i did have a california numberplate from 64 hanging on the garagewall.. so some cuttin and bending and framing and voila! The hole is no more Ok i know it's a little weird but it's better than havin an ugly hole until i find out what is supposed to be there.
Gee, I thought you were going to tell us that you filled it with water and let it freeze over. Seriously, that is where the radio goes on a '40 Ford. Dennis Carpenter sell the delete plate for them if you are interested.
Read your ***le and thought this thread had something to do with Scandanavian ****o's!LOL Nice neat job. Mark
It was traditional to use the old license plates for floor patches. Here in the rust belt. Many floors had plates installed like shingles Yours looks good.
Must be one of those "California" editions now. At least that will do until you figure out what you want to put in that space. Beats the hell out of welding the hole up and then finding out that it is where that restored radio that you just picked up on Ebay goes.
No - we don't have radio waves over here in Europe. In fact, we are still waiting for that Colour TV that they have in California now. I also hear that you have cars that can change gear all on their own and have special white boxes in your kitchens that can make beer cold......
Meget fint! Its a good thing you didn't have a plate from Ohio or Iowa, it would have been too short/small.
