I had been driving past this beast for years and had never seen it, well maybe the back half ( it was behind some dirt piles) and today I happened to see the entire truck, (dirt piles were moved) so I had to stop and talk. he has all the front trim taken off and stored safely, not much rust anywhere and still original engine, plus I think the cow head comes with it as a bonus anyone think it's worth more than 1500 ? J
Hey, I agree with Adamshumard $1500.00 I'd drop it in a minute, I looks pretty olid, I'm no expert but I will be next week... LOL.
Its worth that easy. If you really like it its worth more for sure. Looks pretty straight Interior pretty good allso. There is not much body work to do. Thats a big saving in itself. Snooze ya loose
Hell Yeah, worth that for sure, what a Bad*** Hauler that would make, that steering wheel is cool, is that a tach on the column? Cow skull, I was about to ask if it was in Texas, but then saw Utah, was thinking ChainSawM***acre!!!
I can't believe how solid that old truck looks, $1500? I have it in a heartbeat! If all the trim is there and in good condition,it's probably worth that alone!
When dealing with cars Iv learned and live by one saying "Is it worth it to ME?" If you are willing to spend the money then buy it, who cares what others say somthing is worth...but $1500 is a steal for that truck. If you have no plans of buying it, please p*** on the info!
That thing looks solid as hell! Might be a super long term project (for me) due to the cost (I've always equated bigger vehicle bigger $ though I may be wrong) I have seen others plopping the cabs on a modern 3/4 or 1 ton ch***is.....might take some of the cost out of it..... Very cool though.
If I was into Chevy's I would have paid 1500 for it, seems like the guy wanted way more? like about 4000 ??? can't remember for sure. he will let it sit there and rot away with that skull most likely. I will look for the guys phone number again and p*** it along to anyone who wants it. its just down the street from me too so I can always just stop again it is very solid and mostly rust free, It probably never hit the highways in the winter???
I am into larger trucks because I have been in the trucking business for 46 years. However restoring larger trucks can be a challenge and expensive because there are no repop parts available. To someone who is into larger trucks, it is a good solid start and I think the price is in the money. However, there are lots of them around in the high desert and in barns in in farming areas. And there just isn't that much demand for them because they do not make Saturday night cruisers, won't fit in a garage and are expensive to restore and have little interest when they hit the market in a restored condition.
