it has a 305 in it and runs great but needs all new quarters oh and its had a bath since these pics this was jus the first day i got it
He should pay you to haul it off. All kidding aside there is a big market for early Impala's. I have a friend thats been shipping them to China for years. You need to ask that question on a Lowrider forum. There may be more interest there.
The value has a lot to do with the things that you aren't showing us or telling us about. Such as, how are the floors, the trunk pan, the rearmost body mounts? How is it behind and in front of the rear wheels, behind the front wheels and under the battery. When looking from the trunk up towards the rear window do you see rust or signs of rust repair? Is it a driver or does it just run? Does it run at all?
from the looks of it about 2000. No radiator, or atleast not one hooked up. Looks alittle rough. Interior dosnt look to bad. Did you even hear it run? If paint was in better shape id say it might be worth 4000 maybe upwords of 6k.
Ok the last '64 Impala I bought I paid 30 dollars for the guys wanteded 40 but it didn't have an engine. of course that was in '70 and we considered it to be late model. Hell I still think they are late model cars. If you peddle it to a lowrider guy and its pretty clean and solid its probably worth a couple grand. I've seen early '60s Impalas bring more than that around here from the Cholos but the economy is bad right now.
Better off to throw an ad out for trade for what you want because you are not going to get but about $2000 or maybe a little more out of it,resgd37zEP"S idea was the best, put it on the lowrider sites, cause theres alot of 62-63-and 64"s there.
On the HAMB we're thinking how much it will take to undo all the stuff on that car and make it right To a different crowd its perfect the way it is. If you didnt mind the interior or the bondo (im just guessing whats under all that gummy flake paint) or the 305, which the low rider crowd seems to think all of that is OK, you could make some money. I could live with the interior, the 305 would have to go, so it needs 1/4's and whatever sheetmetal and a repaint. $1200-2000 depending on the condition of the rest of the sheetmetal, just because theres not a lot of useful parts, to me. Get it running / driving and sell it to the right crowd, the economy is down, but a lot of low riders builds arent funded by 9-5 jobs
yea it is a driver i drive it around town all the time the floors and trunk are pretty solid the only real bad spot was the frame it had some bad rust in the bend but i fixed that the reason there wasnt a radiator in the pic was bc i had just striped it down an did some cleannin that was it b4
In the condition is seem's to be in i'd say 2-3K tops (3K stretching it but there is always an *** for the seat). Needing full quarters dosn't help the sale of it obviously, and the fact the frame was repaired may have an effect of the sale as well. It's good it's a driver, but again, a 305 is probably a motor most guy's would not want to have so it add's up to expense when they think of new power. I check these thing's all the time being the early Impala's are a sickness of mine and having had a few. Rarely do i see them in similar condition going for more that what i wrote. Being an a/c car might be or interest to some too. Especially as of late with the economy being where it is. Many folks just don't want to dig in thier pockets anymore for projects needing lot's of work. I could be off, i'm only going by what i see AND paid for similar cars. Tony
I see similar '63 and '64 around here asking about $6500 - $7500 similar condition, and driving...but they have no buyers.
It is worth what someone will pay for it. I don't think you are going to get an old Harley by selling that maybe an old truck but that is about it. The guys on here may say 6500 or 7500 but when all is said and done I don't think anyone would want to fork out that kind of cash for this. Good luck man it won't be easy. I have had troubles selling cars like this. The frame thing wont help either unless you are an unhonest seller and don't tell anyone but that would be a **** move. The 305 doesn't help either they have a bad rap thats just the way it goes. Someone would need to put in a lot of money to make it what they want like a fresh 350, etc. And I just don't seem them paying top dollar for it right away in that state.
