i'm probably wrong, and if i am somebody correct me but 53' buicks still had the straight 8 in them. did they have a v8 option in 53'?
1953 was the first year for the Buick V8....322 cu in.....standard equipment in the Super and Roadmaster.......The Special series retained the 263 cu in straight 8 for 1953. In 1954 the Special series got a 264 cu in V8........ Ray
I have a few of those kicking around in my basement. Any body care to enlighten us as to what the graphics stand for? Of course the "V" might be for a V8 car....
I always thought they were pretty ugly wheelcovers. The little symbols around the V are also part of the Buick crest logo, which I believe was David Buick's family crest. I think it all just was designed with that theme in mind.
