I have a set that came off a friends car 67. In 1970. They have never been worked on and are in cosmoline. Can somebody give me some insight as to what casting numbers are prefered. I also have a Crower 300 Monarch cam That is new in the box. Does anybody use one of these? whats it like? I am thinking about slowley piecing to gether a SBC for the street and kindof wondering what some of you guys have done.
The most common numbers ***ociated with these heads are 461 and 462. Good heads for there time can't help with the came.
Crower Monarch cams were marketed as a mild street performance kit and was designed to p*** early CA emission tests. We did an AMC Javelin with a Crower Monarch, Weber clutch/flywheel combo, Jardine headers and an Offy 4 bbl manifold that was featured in CC and p***ed smog tests.
