Double Hump Heads and Crower cam

    I have a set that came off a friends car 67. In 1970. They have never been worked on and are in cosmoline. Can somebody give me some insight as to what casting numbers are prefered. I also have a Crower 300 Monarch cam That is new in the box. Does anybody use one of these? whats it like? I am thinking about slowley piecing to gether a SBC for the street and kindof wondering what some of you guys have done.

    The most common numbers associated with these heads are 461 and 462. Good heads for there time can't help with the came.

    Crower Monarch cams were marketed as a mild street performance kit and was designed to pass early CA emission tests. We did an AMC Javelin with a Crower Monarch, Weber clutch/flywheel combo, Jardine headers and an Offy 4 bbl manifold that was featured in CC and passed smog tests.
