What are you paying for gas? The stations by my house are getting $2.13for 87 , 2.18 for 89 and $2.23 for 91 . The Turnpike station in Pompano/Ft lauderdale is 1.83 , 1.89 and 1.93. This is 85 miles appart . Its not like Port st Lucie is Beverly Hills . WTF ???
A buck eighty-five for the shit gas that can't even pass quality standards and is clogging injectors. That's here in beer city, BTW.
87 $1.83 at the Flying J just off the freeway on Broadway 85 $1.89 across the street from the Flying J at the Chevron. 85 $2.13 at the Shell station just off the freeway at the other Idaho Falls exit a mile north of Broadway. The north exit is the one between the airport rental cars and the roads heading towards Yellowstone Park and Jackson Hole. They love tourists. I've learned to look for Flying J's out west here.
I just paid $1.77 at the Walmart in Ocala. $1.74 if I'd used a Walmart card. Cheapest I've seen in months.
As i have said before on this subject ,STOP MOANING YOU BLOODY SPOILT BASTARDS.Now i feel much better let me put it into perspective .089 pence per litre which works out at $1.80 a litre so go suck on that and try running a chevy 350........Marq
Yes Marq, but over here most of us don't get the free medical system, government services and 30 hour a week jobs with months of vacation time. Just how many litters in a gallon anyway? I know a gallon is enough to drown the damned cat so she'll stop having litters. You Brits spell funny... One other note. Things are spread out here a bit more than on your Island. From my place to Bakersfield for the CHRR is 1150 miles one way. You go 1150 miles one way from your place and you're going to get wet.
[ QUOTE ] Just how many litters in a gallon anyway? [/ QUOTE ] 4 in a US one.... 5 and a little bit (tech talk there) in a UK one... So about $7 a US gallon! Marq, you get Boxing Day off as well...we don't! Dave
$2.29/gallon Diesel here in NE Fla. for on road diesel. SO - the new word of the day is GREASEL, have been reading up on it at the BioDiesel boards.

I have been seriously considering going diesel for the greasiel / biodiesel thing. my father in laws friend runs a E350 with 2 tanks. starts with diesel from one tank and switches to recycled veggie oil that he gets fror free that is in the other tank. Someone sells a home Biodiesel kit on the internet for about $500. All you do is put 40 gallons or so of veggie oil , some methanol and lye in it and in 24 hrs you got about 40 gallons of biodiesel. You can also buy biodiesel in 55 gallon drums and get a pump and use it at your house, my neighbor runs a 2003 vw tdi and we have considered splitting em. Screw big oil VIVA LA BIODIESEL
Saw $1.61 in Grand Rapids and Kazoo yesterday was $1.66 here this morning when I went to work $1.79 whebn I came home.
I love doing this £0.89/litre = $1.93/litre (today's int'l exchange rate) 3.7854 litre = 1 US gal 3.7854 x $1.93 = $7.30/US gal
$2.09 for the cheap stuff, but if I drive 35 mile towards a real town I can get it for only $2.05, make me really miss pumping gas at the mobil station for $.31 a gallon for premium. wow that was a while ago.
[ QUOTE ] $.31 a gallon for premium. wow that was a while ago. [/ QUOTE ] Yeah, about 30 years...hard to believe, ain't it?
Sad thing is, March thru October, my single biggest expense is gas. Take CHRR in October for example. 2500 miles round trip. 13mpg = 192 gallons. Average 2 bucks a gallon. $385 bucks just in gas for 1 long weekend. And I usually go to North Idaho the following weekend. That's another 1000 miles. Without doing anything else or counting normal driving to work and stores around town etc. I've already spent more for gas than my rent. And that's October. I hate to even think about the summer months.
[ QUOTE ] Wow, the Brits are still pissed we won the wars!!!!!!!! [/ QUOTE ] I think they are laughing all the way to the bank as we bleed our economy dry with THIS war and the world divests from the Dollar and switches to Euros.
