87 $1.83 at the Flying J just off the freeway on Broadway
85 $1.89 across the street from the Flying J at the Chevron.
85 $2.13 at the Shell station just off the freeway at the other Idaho Falls exit a mile north of Broadway. The north exit is the one between the airport rental cars and the roads heading towards Yellowstone Park and Jackson Hole.
    They love tourists. [IMG]

I've learned to look for Flying J's out west here. [IMG]

I just paid $1.77 at the Walmart in Ocala. $1.74 if I'd used a Walmart card. Cheapest I've seen in months.

Yes Marq, but over here most of us don't get the free medical system, government services and 30 hour a week jobs with months of vacation time. [IMG]

Just how many litters in a gallon anyway? I know a gallon is enough to drown the damned cat so she'll stop having litters. You Brits spell funny... [IMG]

One other note. Things are spread out here a bit more than on your Island. From my place to Bakersfield for the CHRR is 1150 miles one way. You go 1150 miles one way from your place and you're going to get wet. [IMG]

Marq, you get Boxing Day off as well...we don't!

    RIGHT ON! RIGHT ON!

I have been seriously considering going diesel for the greasiel / biodiesel thing. my father in laws friend runs a E350 with 2 tanks. starts with diesel from one tank and switches to recycled veggie oil that he gets fror free that is in the other tank. Someone sells a home Biodiesel kit on the internet for about $500. All you do is put 40 gallons or so of veggie oil , some methanol and lye in it and in 24 hrs you got about 40 gallons of biodiesel. You can also buy biodiesel in 55 gallon drums and get a pump and use it at your house, my neighbor runs a 2003 vw tdi and we have considered splitting em.

    Screw big oil

    I love doing this [IMG]

    £0.89/litre = $1.93/litre (today's int'l exchange rate)

    3.7854 litre = 1 US gal

    3.7854 x $1.93 = $7.30/US gal

Sad thing is, March thru October, my single biggest expense is gas. Take CHRR in October for example. 2500 miles round trip. 13mpg = 192 gallons. Average 2 bucks a gallon. $385 bucks just in gas for 1 long weekend. And I usually go to North Idaho the following weekend. That's another 1000 miles. Without doing anything else or counting normal driving to work and stores around town etc. I've already spent more for gas than my rent. And that's October. I hate to even think about the summer months.

I think they are laughing all the way to the bank as we bleed our economy dry with THIS war and the world divests from the Dollar and switches to Euros.
