I found me a model T gas tank that I want to modify. I would like to stand it on its side to mount in the bed of my rpu. I was wondering about patching the holes where the old filler is located. It looks like it was leaded in. There are no fumes of any kind so no issue there. Suppose I can use my mig and patch it just like anything else?

Solder is a great way to patch a tank. Low heat, impervious to gas, lasts forever.

  3. You can Mig it, if you get ALL the solder off. Otherwise you mayhave to solder it back, personally I would weld it, nothing to it once its clean.
