Event Coverage BilletProof Florida 2010-Poor Boys THANK YOU for coming!

To EVERYONE that made the journey to be a apart of the Florida 'Billetproof' HotRod, Customs and Mini-Bike Show ....

On behalf of the Florida Poor Boys, I want to THANK YOU for coming!



First off, I like the Fair Grounds..... NO drama with getting in or out, NO parking issues, lot's of shaded area......very laid back, comfortable atmosphere. You could park with all of your friends, set up tents and enjoy the 130 acres all you wanted.

The large building was perfect for all of the vendors that wished to be inside. There was TONS of room!

The HUGE open pole-barn had the sound stage setup in it, and the Bands sounded awesome from there. The music flowed out to all of the surrounding areas great. It was also used at the end of the day for the Awards, and we were able to park all of those WINNERS in there with room to spare.

Just outside of the pole barn is a set of bleachers where folks could sit and listen to the bands and see the awards presentations which was very cool too.

The Swap Meet was pretty darn good to considering our challenging weather conditions.



I would like to THANK all of the Car Clubs that particapated in building some bitch'n Awards that were given out this year. You all did a great job!

I want to extend an offer to all Clubs that would like to participate next year to please contact me A.S.A.P. via PM or Email as it is now time to begin planning 2011. You will find it so very rewarding to be involved.


A BIG THANK YOU goes to Alan and Melissa of Billetproof! A 3rd year in Florida and going strong! This would not be happening without you two, you guys are the BEST!

I know that your ready to see pictures, and our Club member Brian took over 500 and he will be working hard to get them ready to post.



The 'Poor Boys' tried our Best to make you feel Welcome and at Home!

Thanks to all that braved the nasty cold and rainy weather in rhe morning,the afternoon did'nt even look like it was the same day ,, i love the new location, and think that next year it will be off the chart..thanks for having a smile all day...there were no long faces all day...well just a couple at the gate..i took of my dick hat after gate duty......hope to see more of you at billetproof drags....dave

Vicki and I just arrived home and we would like to say that we had a great time also. We also had an uneventful drive home. WHEW!!!

It was great to see everyone again. Thanks to all who made the weekend what will be a great entry into the log book.

Thanks Mike, I have to say the same about you and the rest of the Poor Boys and their lovely wives. I had a great time at dinner and am looking forward to hanging out with you guys/gals again.

Thanks to those who braved the cold and rain to come out to the show and hang it out until the weather cleared up, not until after noon. I am convinced that "Billetproof" fans are hardcore and the heart of this hobby.

Thanks to the clubs and individuals who built the awesome trophies and picked the recipients for them. You guys help this show be what it is.

Thanks to the folks who come out and help us out with the show. You could just come and enjoy the show, but instead you hang it out and work with us. You are greatly appreciated.

Thanks to the bands that pour their notes over the show that are the spice that makes these shows what they are. You guys were all great.

Thanks to the vendors that each bring their own flavor to enhance the experience.

And finally, Thank you to Alan and Melissa, for bringing all these things together for one of the greatest car shows around in my opinion, even if it is the "World's Least Important Car Show"

Funny story, Joe!! I laugh when I replay the scenario when you pulled up and we spoke. I didn't know I was in the presence of so much talent!

I thought you were some kook with a tin cry baby doll in the back seat!

I really admire your work. I'm glad we met.

Thanks to everyone who made this a great show, dispite the poor weather. Everyone I talked to were happy to be at the new place. It's a cool spot for the show and I can't wait to see next year when everyone can make it out for the fun. Alan and Melissa did a fantastic job picking the new location.

A big THANKS goes out to the clubs who made the trophies and to Joe Lockwood for his outragous trophy/artwork. These awards make the winners feel honored to be chosen by the trophy creators because they are so personally involved.

the show was great...

poor boys, you guys are a cool bunch and thanks for letting us hang friday on the ride up and friday night...

i'm looking foward to driving my own ride next year to the show..

 

Sounds like everyone had a geat time. I think that next year I'll come down around the 1st of November, get a good parking spot and stay until the show. The weather there HAD to be better than the "global warming" north. How about you get Al Gore to come next year and set up a boothe where for a $1 you get a turn at kicking his ass. If you do, count me in for a least $10 worth.
