What do you plan to do with your time off?

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by 4t64rd, Dec 16, 2004.

  1. It's countdown to Christmas and a lot of us will have some time off (I get 2 weeks), What do you plan to get accomplished?

Me? I plan on pulling an engine or two and putting one back in my '52, probably numerous trips to the pick n pull to make it work, drinking beer, opening gifts I don't need (not many people will buy you a used car parts for Christmas), drinking beer, maybe mockup the TAV8.

I plan on doing all my Christmas shopping this Sat., leaving the rest of the time open for getting greasy.

    You?

The Rocket Factory usually shuts down for about two weeks for the Christmas/New Year holidays. Since we're still trying to get something flying again, we may have to work over the holidays. [IMG] If I can weasle out of it and nothing else crops up, I plan to do plenty of mini-milling! [IMG]

    2 weeks off,
Most time off during a holiday for ten years.
Plans are to take the sick 21 bolt flatty out of the 37 and replace it with a new and improved smallblock crate motor. NOT
Actually another flathead 8BA will rise from the ashes and power the beast. Can't wait!
Pictures and story to follow after the holidays.

What, I'm suppose to get time off?!?
Ain't gonna happen. I work for a newspaper (online ad dept) so it's tough getting even a whole day off. I've got a few vacation days left. I'll take Christmas Eve and New Years Eve off.

I only have a few paid days off, and don't plan on doing much except screwing around w/ my new F1 and getting drunk.

I was fortunate enough to have been given 2 months paid vacation this year (in addition to the company paying me to go to Jamaica 3 times), so I'm thinking about a major road trip through the northwest this summer.

My last Christmas off was 1971. I'll be working overtime so one of the married guys can stay home and break the kids toys & trip over the wrapping paper.

I am off from the 24th to the 3rd this year...makes things kinda nice. The last two weeks I have been working 3:30 am until atleast 1:30 pm, it will be nice to sleep in until...say...6 or 7 am. Other than Christmas with the family, my only plans are to do some detail work on the Buick.
