I did, and will again...got a street prepped GMC 6-71 waiting that may be going on my 32 5 window when i build it. this is my old 32. 6-71 283 4 speed.
I don't know that 'real' hot rods only have three pedals, but I personally do prefer that. But I think alot of the FED back in the day were running B&M Hydro's and I would call them real hot rods too. regardless. yes got a 5 speed. been through 2 clutches now on a heavy duty PP and clutch and it seems to work ok.
Not mine (I only wish), but the car that ALWAYS comes to mind when someone says "Ya can't run a 4 speed with a blower!" Larry T
I ran less. I did not build my 283 with the idea of a blower so i had a bit too much comp. I don't remember exactly what i end up running it at, but it was under and still produced boost. The blower displacement was more than the motor! Even underdriven that thing hauled *** when you really leaned on the go pedal. Used to get out of shape real quick on those bias ply's. Tony

354 Hemi / Weiand 6-71 / Chrysler A833 18 Spline "hemi " 4 speed . Soon to be finished ... but not soon enough
Underdriven, I think around 13%. I've seen right around 10 pounds on the boost gauge and at that point you shouldn't really be looking at the gauge!
Dont leave out DW's 31 coupe.I think its running a Richmond 5 speed with a blown small block.I saw it run 10.96 with my own eyes last summer and its primarily a street car ...
