ok well ive been busting my *** since sunday at 4 when i met ben to get the body i cut trimmed and fit a temporary model-A front crossmember mounted the motor in the frame...rigged up the rear end under the frame ***embled the body to some extent and got it into a rolling ch***is i havent cut out the back of the body to clear the kick in the 32 frame yet so it looks fat in the middle... but it resembles a car so im happy for today i needed to set the body on to get a guess on clearance's for the motor/firewall and inturn locate the rear wheels centered in the wheel wells im gona have to wait till tomorrow to roll it outside and get a good look at it but i thought i would put up a quick picture of it now zach
When you roll it outside you'll get to smile all over again. That's going to be a NICE car. Keep the pictures coming during the build. Frank
Looking good. I thought about putting some graffiti on it while it was on BenD's rig, but around here that thing wazs just about ready for paint...... Hope you make it to the HAMB drags, we can run down the 1/4 side by side....
yeah i cant wait to roll it outside tomorrow i know its funny looking up on the frame like that but we'll see still a half of a debate between the 32 frame and an A frame so i dont want to cut out the body to clear the 32 kick just incase i go with the A (unchanneled) zach
Neat rod!! Its such a great feelig to get to that point where it looks like a real car, a lot of work done....The next great feeling is when it is a complete car, even before paint and Etc. Lookin goooood good luck,
thanks jon, i had to wake up today and leave the house at 6:30am and walk past that thing...having a job isnt all its cracked up to be but then again this is what paid for that car so far oh well i guess 3:00 will be here soon enough and then i can work on it again maybe i'll get the motor runnign today! zach
Put it on a A ch***is?!!! are you kidding. That is gonna be the quintessential hot rod. whack the rear frame horns off set the body down on the 32 frame and make it run. Actually I don't need to tell you this,Once you put it on a a ch***is you would see right away what I'm talking about. You got the start of a great looking hot rod.
I agree stick with the '32 frame. Where did you get the Hop Up stickers on the bottom of the cowl from?? I'm liking the look.
yeah i know 32 is the way to go...i gotta get it outside...plus its a "real" 28 body and a "real" 32 frame....cant beat that i painted the hop-up on the cowl side thats not gona be on in the end as hop-up wasnt around in the time period im trying to make this car fit i was just wasting time one day zach
Looks *****in...dig the chrome 36 wheels up front are the rears the same? I hope you are running them as you don't see that very often. Can't wait to see an outside shot.
fishman...they are not chrome...just trim rings on them...pretty nice though clark..i was gona save the other "roadster?" and build a race car out of it but im looking into a trade at the moment...my 46 sedan and that roadster for an original stock 29 tudor ive kinda always wanted an original model-A tudor and this deal kinda came along so im trying to make it work out but if it falls through im going to build the car with a track nose belly pan etc...full hood and hide a (cringe) modern motor in it zach
wow it looks bad. ...the frame is only 1 inch off the axle and the body is up on the kick...i think its gona look too nosed down though when i raise the frame...im thinking no dropped axle....we'll see though...seems a shame seeing as i have this nice dropped 32 commercial...but i do have a stock 32-36 i might throw on to see how it looks once i get the body cituated anyways heres the disgusting pictures zach
