Any opinions on these? I can buy the pair a lot cheaper than just one of the popular brand. I'm wanting to shrink some .060 aluminum and maybe some steel down the road so I'd like to hear from anyone who's had experience with these. Thanx.

I know their pipe wrench didn't work, it just gouged the fitting,
a 70 year old american one pulled it right out

PS..spellcheck says thats how you spell "gouged".

There have been several threads specifically about the HB shrinker/stretchers...also several on HB tools in general...

Hit the search ****on at the top of the page. Lots of info on the subject and also check out the HF p*** or fail thread at www.garagejournal.com/forum. That has lots of info on HF products.

It's back to you get what you pay for. If you buy the Lancaster style made in the USA, it will last you a long time and be worth something in a few years.

If everybody searched all the time instead of posting questions, nobody would be talking about anything. That gets old.

I agree with you wicked50... Sometimes you just need an answer to a simple question and running through thread after thread, post after post looking for the someone with the same question about the same thing can take a looong time!

Sorry, I don't have the answers, but I do know where to find them, thought it would be helpful to put it out there. I guess not.

Sorry - I did do a search for "Shrinker" and came up with nothing. Guess I should have tried a few different key words. I don't intend to use this thing too much and we're doing an aluminum bike trailer so I thought the cheap one might do the job.
