  7. Alright, here is my first contribution to the Friday Art Show. Be gentle, I haven't drawn much in years. I used a print I just bought for most of the inspiration.

Showed this last week as an in progress pic. Well, road apple "forced " [IMG] me to sell it to him even before it was done. But he let me finish it and I didn't even have to run the paint 'cause he wanted it bare metal and I even got to put the wing on. Thanks Coby.

I finally got around to working that belly tank lakes car art work I've been wanting to do. I'll try to get a pic put up tomorrow. Gene

    Really nice work guys!
I haven't done anything either striping or drawing wise in a long time, this gives me motivation to get back into it.

The closest thing is I am playing around with water bourne paints instead of solvent bourne for smaller items like tanks and fenders and things of that nature. As such I've been cranking out a few quick mailboxes here and there.
This latest is one I did with some yellow with a bit of a pearl mixed in on a forest green base then cleared with HOK UC35 clear.
The depth and even the pearl is hard to grab a picture of with the lighting I had. In daylight it looks pretty slick for being a water bourne paint (save for the clear. I just won't give up on HOK clear. It works almost TOO well ) It made my day how well it turned out, as I've never been a fan of water bourne paints.

Great work, everyone. Here's two pieces from this week. The Ed Roth design was originally done electronically, I think. It's in a Roth book I have and I decided to attempt it with some 1-shot.

  23. Awesome stuff this week!

Joe contacted me and wanted to see what his 54 ford would look like chopped, lowered, and with fender skirts. I dicided i wanted it to look like the 50's designer guy's drawing, so I did a brown pencil line drawing with a little cross hatching for shade. It came out pretty good I think.

Other than the altered 50dodge4x4 made, I picked up a couple goodies at the mooneyes show to ad to the ole' collection.

    1. Von Franco black and white painting with a little stripe action.
