Hi everyone, my name is Simone Georgette, I am Mark Georgette's daughter. Dad raced fiats in Australia in the late 60's - 80's. His infamous street registered black fiat coupe was written off in a crash in 1986. He is currently rebuilding "The Outrage", his original fiat from the 60's. Dad is pretty computer illiterate but has asked me to post this thread for anyone wishing to make contact with him. Cheers. Simone

I had read articles about your your Dad and his Fiat on the computer and I was really impressed with that little car. There is a guy from Australia that goes by the name Spoggie here on the HAMB. He did a great painting of the Fiat. You should contact him for a copy of it. Welcome to the HAMB.:)

G'Day Simone , I knew your dad in the '70's , in fact we terrorised some of the streets of Kirrawee and Sutherland in that awesome little car . For those that dont know , your dad was one of the first ( if not the first ) in Australia to put a GMC blower on a Chevy in his little Model A coupe in the early '60's .

I've always played with big blocks chevy's , but probably because of the Marks Fiat , I've bin savin' couple of blown hemi's and one of them is in my '29 pick up I'm building now

great to hear he is putting the Georgette Bros ..The Outrage ... back together ...loved the early days of Castlereagh ...my mates and I never missed a meeting , coming from the Sutherland Shire there were a lot of drag racers and rodders around that area ...

I'm retired now and up in the country near your old stamping ground and taking it easy

tell him Steve from Ford Bros says Hi

OH and Welcome to the Hamb...Simone Cheers

Oh geez nearly missed this post! I have a shot of your dad's car as my avatar... eagerly awaiting some progress photos and reports on 'The Outrage' restoration. It's one of my favourite period Australian drag cars.

I'm new here and in Aussie as well. Will your Dad sell the mould for his spindle front wheels?
    Cheers

    Hi there,
Many memories of your old man's antics in the car and that little black beast.
I was there unforuntaely on that night at the drags,... Heathrow, near Bendigo, when it was totalled.
I just couldn't believe my eyes, when it flipped so many times, I can still see it like slow motion reply.
It was credit to the workmanship that you ol' man is still here today.
All the best for joning the gang here, you guys will love it..

Welcome from Haarlem, the Netherlands. Keep them pics coming! Looking great.

See ya, from a guy who spent 12 years in Melbourne!

  24. I think you mean HeathCOTE, oz40. :)

To all the non-Aussie HAMBers, this car and Mark Georgette are dead-set legends in Aussie hot rodding and drag racing. Great to see the car being resurrected and fantastic to hear that Mark's still involved with cars.

Will be watching this one closely. :)

There is a tribute car of Marks georgette's Fiat Topolino. The car looks great and can't wait to see it finished. Here's a few pictures off the internet.:)
