Hill Country Street Rods 2010 Casey Memorial

The Hill Country Street Rods are back again in 2010. Show - n -Go Temple Little River Dragway April 17th, 2010.

This is also where the memorial will be for our fallen racer/hot rodder friend Collin Casey. His ashes will be spread down the track in his coupe just the way he wanted to go out!

Everyone come out and support the Hill Country Street Rods and our friend Collin Casey for a wonderful day of racing and remembering. This was his dream to get this race back on the calendar and he was an instrumental part of doing so.

Let's all be there to support the race, Collin & his dream!

Hell yea, but can we do it at a 'different' motel? HAHAHAHA

Remember he will be with us --- I can here him bitching now if we change it ----- plus what would we have to talk about except the exemplary accommodations and of course we will have to make the trek across the field to Cactus Jack's or whatever their name is for food - at least this one last time

 

Gonna skip the Round Up in order to be able to make this event.If you have a flat-head and want to EARN a tribute trophy then you better get that car right, drink some Red Bull or AMP and show me something....

and for those that don't know he was referring to real BO, NOT Big Olds....cuz Big Olds ALWAYS smells nice.

LOOSERS are in. Parking lot burn outs. Love dat smell. Ain't over the great time we had at the Thaw, but ready to do it again.

 

I heard it would take at least 40 passes,a half dozen donuts and something about racing an airplane. Oh yeah gotta be a flathead.

I've got "the airplane" part covered....hahaha, but I'm looking for Tony to chime in here....as Collin and I would always hound each other about, I wanted a "fast Flathead".....not a "consistant slow one"....hahaha(Collin, are you looking over my shoulder as I type this???)....ie: a heads up Flathead....which has lead to the construction of a "new Flathead FED"(which unfortunately, isn't ready(ya know the ol time and money thing)....shooting for the Yello Belly race that Rusty is setting up in May.)....so, I'm not sure yet as to what I'm trying to run at the River.....how's that for a "long ramble"?

 

ill be riding down with don and aaron.... and you wont catch me complaining about the crappy motel this year....

 

I am thinking, in addition to racing like a "merry go round" (Collin's Style), you have to get kicked out of Catus Jacks and........Parking lot donuts!!!!! I'm in, can't wait to see you all!

I'm so glad to hear that the race and show is back on. You couldn't have picked a better person to dedicate the show to. You've got to have some kind of ceremony for him, maybe a flathead cacklefest? Heck, I don't know and it doesn't matter I guess.
