Well , not really a barn find , more of a residential alley find. Drove around yesturday and found this 57 4 door sedan sitting in an alley about 30 miles away , driven past it 300 times and never knew it was there. The old girl has her soft spots down low but its not in bad shape at all , clean ***le , the previous owner said the 283 gave up so he put the 350 in it , and its a factory power brake car!! I asked him what he would have to have and he said " $1000 dollars and shes yours " well i went back thismorning with a trailer and drove her on . If my 55 isnt finished ill at least have something cool to drive to the pileup!!
thats a nice find. When is the last time it ran? I'd check the numbers on the block. Who knows, maybe its out of something rare.
He told me he drove it around last spring . As Nice of a guy as you could ever hope to meet, Im going back over sometime to help him weld in some patch panels on his hardtop.
That's so cool. My first old car was a 57 Chevy just like that , started it all for me. What are your plans for it?
Cool find....you could name it "Alley Cat" !!! Would be sweet if you could change fluids, fire it up and drive it. Sooooo Cool.
