nice patina, a good find. ...not sure if they'll let ya INTO the Pileup tho, it's virtually a stock car; they said no stockers but were lots of em there last year. I myself like to see survivors like this cruize into the Pileup and other shows. It's amazing there are any tri-5's in this cond. still out there. Good luck with it, bring it up to the S**** Drive in June.
Ohh , i probably wouldnt try to get it through the gate into the show , just something cool to cruise up there in . Pulled the valve covers today and Houston , we have a problem , the heads and rocker arms look like they have been laying at the bottom of the pacific ocean for the last 18 years. I really truly do not know how a motor that looks like that even thinks about running. im guessing shes got some **** intake gaskets , or something along those lines , deffinatley moisture in the oil , and who paints the inside of valve covers??????????? well someone that had thier hands in this motor did and guess where it all ended up ?? yeah all over the rocker arms . So looks like im either tearing this one down to get the **** out of it and healed up or dropping in something else.
Not much left to be found around Emporia, I have found some cool **** out on the back roads though. Went to FHTC and lived there 2 years, had lots of time to scrounge for parts and projects but never found many projects.
