ACME Speed shop has joined forces with MARK-V to offer you guys the finest in Detail products for your Hot RodS and Custom; they will be available in 16 oz sizes! These products are really awesome and are better than anything we have found off the shelf.

We will be offering six items, an all purpose cleaner for interiors, an instant detailer, a whitewall cleaner, a leather rubber vinyl dressing, a NANO spray wax and a cream wax.

Here is where the HAMB comes in; we need some catchy names for the items, The guys and girls that’s name get chosen will receive a detail kit worth about sixty bucks.

Also, after the names are chosen we are going to run an Auction for a detail kit with the proceeds going to the HAMB.

So think of some cool names for:

    Interior Cleaner
    Instant Detailer
    Leather, Rubber and Vinyl Dressing
    NANO Spray Wax
    Carnauba Cream Wax

We will be launching the line at VIVA and the LONE STAR ROUND UP. So we need names pretty quickly. We will wrap this contest up on Friday, March 12th.

Have some fun with this but keep it clean (small pun intended). So....let's see what we can come up with.

    Thanks for playing everyone!

Like Carrol Shelby said when naming the GT350, "if the car's any good the name won't matter and if it's not the name won't save it". I know that's not what you wanna hear, but it's true.

NO, what Carroll was saying was the actual name wasn't that important - not that it didn't need one. Not sure I agree, just wanted to set the story straight

I guess every ACME product that Wile tried failed miserably so maybe that is not such a good deal!

  23. Just use the names you gave. Make them stand out by making them look generic. Add stuff like the example has.

Maybe not what you had in mind when you asked for "names" but my first thought was to take the request literally.

Interior Cleaner- Vinnie: "The Right Man For An Inside Job!"

Instant Detailer- Leonerd: "Takes Care Of The Details For You"

Leather, Rubber and Vinyl Dressing- Lady Zelda: "The Protector Of All Things Leather, Rubber and Vinyl"

NANO Spray Wax- Li'l Nan: "Puts A Shine Where Other Waxes Can't Reach"

Carnauba Cream Wax- Bruno: "Tough As Nails But Lays It On Smoooooth"

Maybe some simple caricatures to go with each name.

You said 6 and listed 5.

"We will be offering six items, an all purpose cleaner for interiors, an instant detailer, a whitewall cleaner, a leather rubber vinyl dressing, a NANO spray wax and a cream wax."

ACME means top of/pinnacle summit or A Company that Makes Everthing.

Playing off top of the line? Or are you running with everyone else? I'd say your image is the former.

Cl*** label/printing, style, with cl*** product packaging. ACME Speed Shop... Possibly play off of the synonyms for ACME...

    Interior Cleaner - Perfection
    Instant Detailer - Payoff
    Whitewall Cleaner - Crescendo
Leather, Rubber and Vinyl Dressing - Emminence
NANO Spray Wax - Peak Wax
Carnauba Cream Wax - Zenith Wax

Of course you could go the innuendo way with these words as well...Main Entry: climax
    Part of Speech: noun
    Definition: peak, culmination
    Synonyms:
acme, apex, apogee, ascendancy, capsheaf, capstone, climacteric, crest, crowning point, extremity, head, height, high spot, highlight, intensification, limit, maximum, meridian, ne plus ultra, ******, payoff, pinnacle, pitch, summit, tiptop, top, turning point, utmost, zenith
