Thanks for doing this. I really wanted to go but, was unable to this time. Steve Hosting 8th annual Nostalgic Show & Go! April 11 Phoenix Make plans to attend now. www.nostalgicshowandgo.org
There goes my productivity! Guess the honey-do-list will be suffering! Thanks in advance for doing this. Dennis
I am wiring my stereo to my computer to have the audio out in my yard/shop so I can hear while I work on my stuff. When the nitro cars are running, I'll be watching as I tear down my own AA/FD to prepare for my own match race in April here in Phoenix Steve Hosting 8th annual Nostalgic Show & Go! April 11 Phoenix Make plans to attend now www.nostalgicshowandgo.org
Gosh did anyone watch the show? They wussed out because it was "too cold" but was still entertaining. I wonder what they'd think about the "Texas Thaw" LOL
I've attended nostalgia events at Bakersfield since 1992. Over that extended timeframe, I've learned the the track does not hold after dark. I've seen even the lesser cl*** cars swap ends because of it. There are reasons. Also, the AA/Fuelers have 3 qualifying sessions. Tommorrow will be the best day to watch. I had the bang shift streaming on my moniter and hooked up to my stereo all day and still have it on. Same plan for the weekend. Steve www.nostalgicshowandgo.org April 11 Phoenix
Hey Steve I was under the impression there were only gonna be 2 sessions for the big dogs and elims were to begin,at least for funnys, tomorrow afternoon to pare 32 down to 16 for Sun. In any event the track wasn't very good all afternoon as near as I could tell. Only a couple of decent flopper p***es (really only one) and only a couple of low 6's in top fuel. I understand shutting down before "dewfall" which is much more of an issue at coastal area tracks. I was attempting to be facetious when I said "they "wussed out" because it was too cold". That's a prob with computers that the tounge in cheek is hard to see. T.

Thanks for you guys who watched. We had some tech problems in the morning, but got the video feed rolling good. We have hundreds of March Meet photos live now, too. http://bangshift.com/blog/Live-Vide...ia-Drag-Race-at-Auto-Club-Famoso-Raceway.html We'll be back with live video tomorrow at 9:30 pst if it's not raining.
Yeah, I was watching as well last night, the missus was trying to watch a movie. We are 9 hours ahead of you guys in CA. Last March meet we attended was in 2004. Can still see the Winged Express lift his wheels half way down the track.
We'll be live again this morning at 9 am for a huge day of racing. We also have hundreds of photos up in our galleries, check them out. http://www.bangshift.com/blog/Live-...ia-Drag-Race-at-Auto-Club-Famoso-Raceway.html
The Feed is hittin' on all 8 right now. At the moment they are runnin' AA/GS. Top Fuel and Funny Finals yet to come! Could be a pedal fest with the cooling track. You all should tune in.
It will be a major miracle if they complete the show tonight. Loosing the first round of funny car yesterday was the killer.
Semis in AA/FC and finals in T/F at 10 AM tommorow even as I type. I was gonna say HAMBers unite and Bangshift has an interest in covering the HAMB Drags.
BTTT The Sreaming video was really dialed in by the time the F/C's fired up lat night. Coverage begins again today at 12:00 central time.
Thanks for the coverage. Some of the stream was bad but when it was working right it was pretty good.
