O.K., got myself 2 scott 97 base fuel injectors, and a 3 pot top. Idea: run one 94 or 97 in the middle, progresive the 2 injectors, one in front, one in back. Now, as far as setting the linkage, how open should the middle carb be before the two injectors kick in? Any ideas, heaven forbid I get the thing to juiced and hurt somthing.
    thanks

  3. The only person I saw using a Fi system ( I believe what you have) on a Flatty was Denny at Ionia Hot Rods, Ionia Michigan. He might know something about the set up.. sorry I don't know his number.

If you find the literature - you will learn that this is what Scott recommended for a street car. Carb in the middle, injectors on the ends.

Back in Santa Ana days, Stu Hilborn was fooling around with F.I. on flatheads, it seemed to work as time went by!!-------Don

I spoke to a guy who ran a 3 carb intake put a 48 in the middle and the injectors on the end, ran the stock mechanical pump to run the center carb and a electric fuel pump ran the injectors. The center carb was obviously the main with the two injectors coming in off of progressive linkage. Stock pump is good fuel pressure to run the center and then you can put a regulator on the electric pump and play with pumping them up maybe above the stock 3-4 lbs of pressure. He said it worked great and came on much better then carbs when the injectors opened up, if you come across any extra scott injectors I'm still looking for a couple to do a 4 carb intake.
