My kid's broke down on I-80, 10-15 miles east of North Platte with a locked up water pump, I need to get him to town so he's not on the side of the road all night while we try to get a rescue party to him.

The closest I've got is a HAMB guy in Hastings. He might not be close enough to help BUT he might have a car pal that is closer. I will PM you his contact info.
We (my wife, other son, and I) took off Tuesday night, drove the 500+ miles to North Platte, checked out the situation when the sun came up. The water pump was frozen up. We went to all the parts stores, but nobody had one, not even the dealer. So we ordered one, spent the afternoon tearing the thing apart. Spent the night in the cars again at the rest stop, went in this morning, got the pump and belts, antifreeze, etc, went back out and put everything back together. Got him on the road and drove home. Just got here a few minutes before midnight. Thanks to everyone for their assistance! My cell died Wednesday, and we had no laptop or internet access. I just found all the posts. Thanks again, and a big thanks to Dave at Advanced Auto Parts in NorthPlatte, NE. That guy is the coolest parts man I've EVER met. Professional, knowledgeable, friendly, you name it, he's it. I'm writin' his boss a letter. My kid's on his way to Wisconsin, we're home safe and sound, and can sleep in our beds. Whew!!
Sorry I didnt see this in time to help. For future Nebraska issues, give me a pm or a heads up. I live smack dap in the middle of Nebraska and only a very short drive from I-80.
Same here. I'm located 20 miles from NE Colorado just off I-80. Got a complete fabrication shop and will help anyway I can. Get 'em back on the road, tow 'em here and fix 'em. Whatever. Just PM and I'll do all I am able to help.
