    Remember, you asked.........

Sorry, my friend, but IMHO I just don't care for the "water pipe" look of them and I think the lights themselves are mounted too low.

I like them. Clean, simple, cl***y.

  4. Lines and shape are too "hard". Little too low, or maybe just too wide?

I kind of like them but I kind of don't... I think they're too low and I don't like the part that hangs down on the mounts, but they look simple and simple is good.

Looks like good work for the most part, but don't do it for me. With a single point mount, I would think that in short order, one will be pointed at the sky and the other at the ground.

Nice work, but I'm not feelin it for a traditional rod. Too contemporary, imo.

Well, I asked...I can see that I'm dealing with a bunch of guys that would rather buy what everyone else has and bolt um on.........SHEEP. This is all about BUILDING cars, not conforming.....and NO, they're NOT 'water pipes'...thats 304ss tig welded and polished, very sturdy and solid. Tough to find mounts to accept the long slanted stems on truck lights...I like um.

Dont get angry, the fab work looks to be very good, but the squared off 90* angle dosent flow with the roundness of the light housings or the frame horns. They also to me dont look right being mounted that far forward. Just try another design its not uncommon to make parts that are not right on on the first attempt

I like that you made them. But, not trying to be rude, I don't like how they look exactly. I think their to low, to wide......well, with your obvious skills, I think you should try another set. Good luck

  18. Well, don't ****ing ask then. Nobody said that the nice tig work ****ed, in fact that part is very nice. And yes, I have made my own mounts and Tigged them as well

The danger in asking for an opinion when you obviously don't want an opinion is obvious. If you are happy, then they are perfect, who gives a s*&t what anybody else thinks... :D

The fab and TIG work is very good !
They just look way out of place with the look of the car ! Way to modern for me ! I see what you are trying for but if you did the same "Tube" look straight off the frame at a 45 degree angle it would look a lot better than what you have now . I still prefer the lights up higher about 1/2 way but low is good too .
Remember you did ask for all of our opinion , so don't get all pissed off when someone doesn't like what you made ! Look it's your ride , so if the lights is what you like then be happy with it !
Just don't get your ******* in a bind when someone doesn't like something about your car ! Can't make everyone happy !
Now go out and drive your hotrod and enjoy it !

I'd rather be a Sheep than an *** personally.

I actually like the look, both the design and the placement. I've seen far worse thats for sure. The TIG work looks just fine too.

Looks to me like you really weren't looking for opinions at all, but more along the lines of making a "hey look what I did" thread, and when everyone didn't immediately start drooling over your work, you got **** hurt and *****ed everyone out for it. I see it time and time again on just about every automotive forum I'm on or involved with. I guess its just human nature to be on the defensive, but in the land of the interwebs, you need to be a little thick skined, especially when asking for "opinions".

Remember, they are just words on a screen, they aren't going to hurt you.

Oh, if you were just wanting to make a "look what I did" thread, next time post it as such. I'm willing to bet that 8 times out of 10, if people aren't ASKED for an opinion, they will most likely not give one and hit the back ****on if they don't like what they see and move on.

No one suggested to 'buy whatever everyone else has and bolt them on'. You asked for opinions, and you got them. What's the issue? You don't like our opinions? OK.

Have a thin skin do you?
Don,t ask for other people,s opinion and then get pissy when their opinion is different then yours!
For what it is worth I think they are too close together and too far forward

I prefer "HAMB CLONES" vs. Sheep if you must lump us together...Yes I do feel I am qualified to give an opinion here, cuz I have been down this road...Which brings us to YOUR your mounts... sure they work, BUT not my cup of tea, they just do NOT "flow", just cuz the craftsmenship is top notch (and it looks to be!), does not mean it is visually pleasing (& they are not).

It's like a hot chic at your bank vs a not so hot chic at your bank.... They BOTH can do the job, but you would much rather look at the hot one while you are there, do you get it?

It's simple, great work, functional (although for a second I sorta thought they might hit your tire when you turned) BUT truth be told or at least MY truth/opinion...it's an ugly part, It's NOT traditional in the sense of something that would have been rocked in the days of old, well maybe by someone, but not the cool ****. It does not fit the rest of your machine (which does seem pretty cool).

Were is the old headlight bar, cut that up & bend it like the old days, sometimes you don't have to be a mad fabricator just for ths sake of it dude, people did it that way cuz it's dank as funk when it is done right.
And don't be mad at us, YOU asked as I'm sure you now see, THE HAMB is a team brother, we are here to help you & one another. So there you are, I gave you my opinion of your stuff cuz you asked for it, now I'll offer you a hug....HUG it out!
    Sincerely,
    Cheatercarl
