This is real simple. Find a old remote oil filter . I used the one off my 331 caddy motor. All you have to do is tap the supply fitting hole all the way thru. screw in a 90 degree hose fitting .run a hose to the bottom of the canister. mount a hose fitting on the outside and connect the hose from the canister to the radiator. screw it a hose fitting at the bottom of the canister. hook up a hose for the drain. mount the oil filter housing where you want it. fill it up with the level of antifreeze you want to have . it will hold over a quart of fluid. if the radiator forces out too much fluid will go on the ground. It works great.this way you can hide a puke take out in the open and use a new radiator for your vintage motored car

Cool, I like this idea. I need to add a overflow tank to my roadster and the only place I can put it is on the firewall. I haven't found one that I think will look right. I could use your idea with an aluminum beehive oil filter and it would look totally right.

    Thanks.

Thats a Great idea Double Caddy!
I've wanted to add an overflow on my 1954 for some time now ... but most of the idea's I've come up with would of been completely out of place under the hood of a 50's GM car!
Finally a solution that blends in and won't be the first thing that jumps out at you when you open up the hood

    Thanks

Neat! Thanks for posting. Now there is one canister assy out of the assorted junk pile and saved from the crusher. No idea what it will wind up on yet but there has got to be a project in it's future now...
