The "Cool Factor" on that thing was WAY over the top! All original lettering and shit! Not like most of the ones you see with fake ads,which is okay,but to find one that still has the real stuff is awesome...
Van was my pal's he just sold it and looks like the new owner is allready flipping it. I love that thing. Really wanted it when Nate had it. Fonzi
It was pretty sparse. I didn't make it to the cars for sale, but I looked that way..looked empty. The parts spaces were pretty empty. Lots of holes all over the meet. I was there last night, it rained pretty good from before dark to almost 10. The rain really kills this meet. that custom 58 Ranchero sold for $4300 or $4600.. pretty cheap for a running driving custom. Anybody buy anything??
Desertrat, that 58 looks like the one painted by Skratch about 5-7 years ago. He put those loincoln handles on it too. Glad I did't go this morning, was all the Raiders Nation in force in the back?
i'll let my buddy know who did it..he had no idea on the history of it. Raider nation was not too bad this time..Isn't that worse at Long Beach? Thats why I stopped going there. The back was fairly empty. It was a good meet to buy at if you could find something. People wanted to sell SOMETHING, so prices were fair..mine included. Some people behind me sold everything on their spot at the end of the day for $16....
today was the emptiest i have ever seen this meet...picked up some new firestones for the merc though;}
It was amazing! The interior was in great shape. All it needed was the chrome redone. It's in Hunington Beach,Abe if you want to go look at it.
I told you I would pick you up!!! But oh noooo.....you gotta do Baby stuff!!! Other than some deals on some cars it blew today!!!!
I was there- brought the DD. I don't think I've ever seen the lot that empty. Lots of Rain yesterday afternoon & then again this afternoon starting about 2-3 pm killed the show. There wasn't a shortage of spectators though. Down but the lot was pretty full. I only checked a few cars but walked all the rows. I would have been pissed if I traveled from out of state to see it though.
nice shots... we rolled out up there and got to the mcdonalds at around 7... saw those fords parked out in front of the gas stations... nice rides. the swap meet was alright for a "rainy" day... even though there wasn't a drop of rain... then again we left at around 12. dont know if it started raining after
Sigh, even though it looks like it was pretty thin I was supposed to be there....my trip got cancelled last minute.... I still woulda liked to gone...that 11k 58 wagon would be perfect for my growing family....I may have to make a call on that. Did anyone walk around it and check it out (independent of the owner) that can tell me if it's solid and such? (other than the chrome thing...good info to know)
Well, you wont see it around to remind you..its going to Sweden. I didn't know he was selling it, actually. I would have tried to make a deal with him on it. I found out after it was sold already.
